Screencast

Video

Reflection

I reviewed Covidence in my screencast project, and I had a very pleasant experience with creating a screencast tutorial about software that I use regularly. I wanted to create a video that I wish that I had when I started using Covidance and felt that, besides the watermark and the confusing dots that appeared when the screencast became gray, that was a clear tutorial about how to use Covidence.
As a student who has not been in many traditional academic environments and relies heavily on Google and YouTube, tutorials have been invaluable to my education journey. Including tutorials in online education environments is essential for effective and quality instruction but can also elevate the quality of in-person classrooms. Moreover, including short tutorials and instructional videos can help bring more equity into the education space for students who easily forget instructions and often cannot attend classes because of health problems or other reasons.
The process of using a screencast tool went pretty well for me, and I have no complaints. I have often done screen record for assignments; however, I had never used a screen recording software that had all of the features Camtasia has, so I'm thankful for this opportunity to learn how to increase the quality of my screen recordings.
